Recent rise of the high tech geeky gadgets such as iPads, iPhones, mini-tablets and the high speed broadband, have caused a spur in the internet. It’s as though everyone’s flooding into the door of unknown, searching for information they want, at the tip of their fingers, anytime, anywhere.
This is so important to every business owners because now the eyeballs of their market is shifting, online advertising Malaysia is gaining its popularity due to the trend. These businesses are able to get their message across easier, faster and cheapter by just advertising online.

Or, you can advertise to a parallel market, like if you know people that play golf also likes to read “harry porter” books, it makes perfect sense to advertise your stuff to these websites.
This is pretty geeky if you’re not computer savvy but the short explanation would be to advertise your stuff leveraging the major search engines. Eg. Google, Yahoo, MSN. Just imagine when someone wants to find out the best dentist around Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, then he goes to Google and type in “dentist in kuala lumpur” and your website pops up as the first. What do you think will happen to your brand, and sales? If you’re showing up in every keywords they type for, you’ll be out of business very quickly because you can’t manage to many clients. Cool way to go bankrupt, isn’t it?
This is one of the easiest way in online advertising in Malaysia, but just a word of caution, if you don’t know what you’re doing, you could be losing a couple thousands within a day. Yes it’s that scary but let me just quickly go through. Big websites that have a huge amount of users (Facebook, Google, Yahoo etc) now are giving you the chance to buy advertising space from them, and you pay per click. Which means, everytime a user clicks on your ad, you will pay from a few cents to a few dollars, depending on how you bid. So you have to really know who you are targeting first before you activate the ads.
Social Network Advertising:
This is by far the easiest of all when comes to online advertising but it takes time. It’s really easy though. All you need to do is to join your local community (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) in Social Networks like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. You will have to keep putting out good content that helps your market, then talk to them like friends, and take constructive feedbacks from them about your product/service. This will be the trend and it will continue to work well for you in the future. You will be building a pool of loyal followers by engaging your prospects in a Social approach and sooner or later you’re going to push off your competitors because now you are the ‘friend’ of your prospects, and these competitors are just there to make money from them.
